August 13-14, Pro-Stitcher Premium: Basics & Beyond

August 13, 2021 @ 9:00 am - August 14, 2021 @ 5:00 pm CDT

$175.00

Quilters, the new release of Pro-Stitcher Premium is here!

It’s time to stretch our imaginations and reach beyond the basics!  If you’re ready to learn how to make use of PSP’s stunning new features and functions– and all the wonderful ways to integrate with the old– this is the class for you!

We’ll begin our course by breaking down the features, tools, and user interface.  I’ll show you how to easily update PSP, and where to go for additional support options.  Once we’re comfortable in our working knowledge of the program, we’ll move on to what we came here for—design and execution!

I’ll teach you all about simulating quilt layouts, for both edge-to-edge and custom quilt treatments, to help pare down the time you spend before the machine.  I’ll show you the easy way to download, import, and install purchased designs, too.   You’ll learn all the tools for repeating and wrapping, clever tricks for advancing your quilts, such as the drag-and-drop method, how to avoid the dreaded yet mythical “pattern drift”, and how to gracefully recover from disruptions, such as power outages and thread breakage.  You will master the skills of repositioning and restarting – I promise!

We’ll expand our creativity by working with multiple designs simultaneously, we’ll set corners with borders for seamless stitchouts, and I’ll teach you how to create effective areas for all kinds of custom quilting, including irregular spaces and non-traditional quilt tops.

You’ll love knowing how to use the Move, Mark, and Record tools to tackle jobs easily, and I’ll show you exactly how to use the cropping tools to achieve beautiful finishes without overstitching!

We’ll round out our class by learning to transition to and from Pro-Stitcher Designer, and as always, you’ll be free each day to ask any questions that you have.  Whether you want to know more about the material we’ve covered in class, or you want to ask about other quilting challenges, I’d love to hear about them and help you reach solutions.

Class size is limited – reserve your spot early!  Applicants to this class should be comfortable using Zoom to communicate, and should ensure the stability of their connection, as well as the fidelity of their voice and video communication prior to the day of the class! A simple Zoom tutorial can be found here.

I am not available to attend this class on the 13th and 14th. Can it be purchased and watched at a later time? Or, will you be offering this class again soon?

I really need a class like this to move forward with my quilting.

    Thanks so much.

Hi, Judi. Thank you for getting in touch. I’ll be teaching this same class again in September, and will be putting up the schedule shortly. That said, if you’re brand new to Pro-Stitcher you might be more interested in taking the class on the 5th. Also, later in August, I’ll be adding short lessons that break up the material covered in the August 5th class. Why don’t you let me know what it is you’re looking for and I’ll see if I can’t help you more? Thank you, Susan

I missed the class on the fifth but would love to know when you will be offering something like that again.

Hi, Melanie! I teach Just the Basics one-day class each month. I’ll be posting a September date soon. The August 13-14 class includes all of the information presented in the one-day class, plus much more, so if that appeals to you, feel free to register. If you’re on the mailing list, you’ll receive an email letting you know when the next classes are ready for enrollment. Thank you!
