Quilters, there’s one last chance to sharpen your needle before the new year!
This December 15th and 16th, I’m offering my final course of the year– a comprehensive seminar designed to teach you the essential skills needed to produce beautiful quilts with ease using Pro-Stitcher Premium
We’ll begin with an overview of the tools, features, settings, shortcuts, and upcoming changes to the program. Next, I’ll show you how to work with designs we’ve downloaded and imported, and how to download and install PSP Updates.
We’ll explore the essentials of design, creating a handful of edge-to-edge quilt layouts, including wrapped and offset patterns, to acheive precise density quilting across your entire quilt with no gaps, or overlaps of your patterns. Next, we’ll learn quick and clever tricks for finishing our quilts, such as the drag and drop method, as well as how to save time when faced with pesky interruptions such as thread breaks and bobbin changes. I’ll teach you the easiest way to to realign your pattern with the quilting on your quilt, and how to completely avoid “pattern drift”.
We’ll further expand our mastery of design by learning to work with multiple patterns simultaneously and stitch seamless borders with corners. We’ll learn to control our workspace by setting precise areas for custom quilting, use the Move, Mark and Record tools, and work with irregular spaces and nontraditional quilt shapes. We’ll put a big red cherry on top by learning to use all of these skills in tandem with Pro-Stitcher Designer with a brief introduction to this fabulous digitizing software!
Finally, we’ll conclude our time together with an opportunity for you to ask me anything! Whether about the material we’ve covered during class, my experiences as a quilter and educator, or something that’s come up during your own growth as an artist!

Applicants to this class should be comfortable with using Zoom to communicate, and should ensure the stability of their connection, as well as the fidelity of their voice and video communication prior to the day of the class!
