August 5, 2021, Pro-Stitcher Premium: Just the Basics

Quilters, with the release of Pro-Stitcher Premium’s new features, it’s the perfect time to get back to basics! Whether you’re a newbie learning to load quilts for the first time, or an old hand looking to firm up your foundations, this is your chance to flourish! We’ll begin our course by breaking down the features, tools, and user interface.  I’ll show you how to easily update PSP, and where to go for additional support options.  Once we’re comfortable in our working knowledge of the program, we’ll move on to what we came here for—design and execution!I’ll introduce you to PSP in Simulation to help pare down the time you spend before the machine. I'll teach you all about edge-to-edge quilting.  I’ll show you the easy way to download, import, and install purchased designs, too.   You’ll learn all the tools for repeating and wrapping, clever tricks for advancing your quilts, such as the drag-and-drop method, how to avoid the dreaded yet mythical “pattern drift”, and how to gracefully recover from disruptions, such as power outages and thread breakage.  You will master the skills of repositioning and restarting – I promise! Stitchers, the landscape of quilting is constantly changing! Technologies emerge, artistic traditions evolve, and your designs are the living proof! This class teaches everything you need to digitize beautiful, original artwork for multiple machine formats in Pro-Stitcher Designer. In this twelve hour seminar, we’ll begin the journey with a quick rundown of PSD’s user interface, tools, updates, and available online resources.Once we’re grounded, we’ll leap right in to using the Draw and Edit tools to create designs from scratch, and save them for use at your machine!  In addition to original work, you’ll learn to draw and design from inspiration– importing motifs from outside sources, (or your own work for modification), and directly from life, using the Auto-Digitizing and Magic Wand features!
