Quilters, do you think of yourselves as artists?\u00a0 For all the love and effort you invest into your quilts, I certainly hope so.\u00a0 But if there\u2019s ever been a doubt in your mind, this is the class to clear it up!<\/span><\/p>\n This September 18th and 19th, join me for the virtual renaissance of one of my most popular courses: Art and Stitch for Quilters!<\/span><\/p>\n In this hands-on class, you\u2019ll develop all the skills you need to design and implement beautiful patterns and motifs from scratch using the extensive catalogue of tools available in the Art and Stitch software. <\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.9.0″ _module_preset=”default” width=”100%” width_tablet=”” width_phone=”95%” width_last_edited=”on|desktop” max_width=”100%” module_alignment=”center” global_colors_info=”{}” min_height=”676.3px” custom_padding=”0px|||||”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.7.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.10.7″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”18px” text_line_height=”1.6em” hover_enabled=”0″ text_font_size_tablet=”” text_font_size_phone=”16px” text_font_size_last_edited=”on|phone” global_colors_info=”{}” sticky_enabled=”0″]<\/p>\n We\u2019ll begin our journey by getting familiar with the program\u2019s user interface, and the many resources available to designers both on and offline.\u00a0 Then, we’ll dive right in– using the drawing and editing tools to create designs, split and connect them, produce them in a continuous line, and save them for your specific machine format.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n You’ll design from inspiration and drawing over backdrops, learn to use the Magic Wand, Magic Circle, and Magic Square tools, and to explore the mysteries of Magic Rays and Echo Quilting.\u00a0 In addition to creating your own designs from scratch, you\u2019ll learn to modify and repurpose designs that you and others have previously drawn, and ultimately how to migrate your designs to your quilting machine and produce formats for others!<\/span><\/p>\n Before we part, we\u2019ll dip our toes into auditioning designs over photos of your quilt tops, briefly explore designing with fonts, and touch on implementing motif fills and outlines.\u00a0 Naturally, there will always be time for questions– whether about material we’ve covered during the class, or a quilting quandary from your own journey!<\/span> Class size is limited \u2013 reserve your spot early!\u00a0 Applicants to this class should be comfortable using Zoom<\/a> to communicate, and should ensure the stability of their connection, as well as the fidelity of their voice and video communication prior to the day of the class!
