August 5, 2021, Pro-Stitcher Premium: Just the Basics

August 5, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm CDT

$100.00

Quilters, with the release of Pro-Stitcher Premium’s new features, it’s the perfect time to get back to basics! Whether you’re a newbie learning to load quilts for the first time, or an old hand looking to firm up your foundations, this is your chance to flourish!

We’ll begin our course by breaking down the features, tools, and user interface.  I’ll show you how to easily update PSP, and where to go for additional support options.  Once we’re comfortable in our working knowledge of the program, we’ll move on to what we came here for—design and execution!

I’ll introduce you to PSP in Simulation to help pare down the time you spend before the machine. I’ll teach you all about edge-to-edge quilting.  I’ll show you the easy way to download, import, and install purchased designs, too.   You’ll learn all the tools for repeating and wrapping, clever tricks for advancing your quilts, such as the drag-and-drop method, how to avoid the dreaded yet mythical “pattern drift”, and how to gracefully recover from disruptions, such as power outages and thread breakage.  You will master the skills of repositioning and restarting – I promise!

As always, you’ll be free each day to ask any questions that you have.  Whether you want to know more about the material we’ve covered in class, or you want to ask about other quilting challenges, I’d love to hear about them and help you reach solutions.

Class size is limited – reserve your spot early!  Applicants to this class should be comfortable using Zoom to communicate, and should ensure the stability of their connection, as well as the fidelity of their voice and video communication prior to the day of the class!  A simple Zoom tutorial can be found here.

I can’t take your August or September classes, calendar full I would like to see about October. I am fairly self taught so probably would start at basics. Maridel Armstrong

Hi, Maridel! Thanks for getting in touch. I’ll be teaching these classes monthly for the foreseeable future and will be emailing dates about twice each month. I see you’ve subscribed to my class notification email, so you will know when new dates are added. I’ll look forward to seeing you in the Fall! Thank you, Susan
