You’ll learn to create a variety of edge-to-edge quilt layouts, including wrapping and off-setting, and how to achieve accurate advancement of your quilts using “drag and drop”, and find solutions for gaps between rows and “pattern drift”. We’ll master the New Start/End tool, and finish by going in-depth on dealing with interruptions– thread breaks, bobbin changes, and the like. The next morning, we’ll dive deeper into the features of Pro-Stitcher Premium, learning to expertly work with multiple designs at the same time, how to stitch corners and borders seamlessly, and crop our Quilts perfectly. We’ll set accurate and effective areas use Custom Quilting & the Modify tools. We’ll learn to Move, Mark, and Record our Quilts, and finish up the day with an introduction to Pro-Stitcher Designer. Before we depart to rest for the next day, you’ll have an opportunity to ask me any questions you have about Quilting, and my experiences as a Quilter. Finally, you’ll be given a Special Secret Homework Project (!) to help you continue to perfect your skills. It’s time to get hands-on for Days 3 and 4! Day 3 we’ll tackle a fun, creative challenge that I like to call Quilt Play! In this “virtual hands-on” class, we’ll use Pro-Stitcher Premium, Rulers, Stencils, and Free Motion techniques to create a small, wholecloth quilt project from start to finish! I’ll demonstrate on my machine, and then you’ll go to your machine and apply what you’ve just learned! Your Quilt can be as simple or complex as you wish, and you don’t have to finish it in class if you want to expand on your theme later. Finally, on Day 4, we’ll jump into Pro-Stitcher Designer! Starting from the ground up and we’ll familiarize ourselves with the user interface and program shortcuts. Then, we’ll exercise our creativity by using the Drawing and Editing tools to create our own designs! We’ll learn to save those designs for quilting machine formats, and how to draw and design from inspirations. We’ll learn to use the auto-digitizing feature to create designs from existing artwork. We’ll learn to Trim, Weld, Intersect, Repeat, Reflect, Echo and Carousel our way to beautiful, elegant Quilt designs! More event information can be found here:

is it possibe to participate from australia
It is, Ruth, as long as the time change doesn’t bother you. I’m actually planning to offer an event just for our Australian Quilters, but I don’t have that on the calendar yet. Three days of this event will be recorded, so it might be fine for you!
