Quilters, have you ever felt out of your depth when it comes to creating and implementing designs? Well, worry not! I’m pleased to announce that this December 2nd and 3rd, I’ll be hosting a comprehensive seminar created to teach my fellow longarmers everything there is to know about Handi-Quilter’s premier digitization program, Pro-Stitcher Designer!
We’ll begin our journey by familiarizing ourselves with PSD’s interface, its many shortcuts, and the numerous resources available for both students and designers. Next, we’ll get hands on, using the drawing and editing tools to create our own designs, and save them for our machine formats. We’ll learn to design from inspiration, using the auto-digitization feature to create easy-to-work with motifs, import new artwork, and modify existing designs with PSD’s array of tools!
In the latter half of our course, I’ll teach you the more complex properties of individual tools in order to gain amazing control over your quilt-tops. We’ll learn to split & seamlessly connect designs, create continuous line designs, and easily move our designs, and areas, from the program to Pro-Stitcher Premium, and back again! I’ll even show you how to audition designs over our quilt tops. We’ll work with motif stitching, creating memorable messages with True Type fonts, and much, much more!

What is the exact schedule for this class? If I’m unable to participate both days, will the information be available later? I really want to do this, but am worried that I’ll have to miss part of it.

This class starts promptly at 9:00am central time, has a fifteen minute mid-morning break, a thirty minute lunch time, a fifteen minute mid-afternoon break, and ends at 4:30pm both days. That said, I never abruptly close the meeting at 4:30 if people are still discussing or asking questions. The classes are recorded and hosted on my website for a period of thirty days following the video upload date, which is usually about two weeks after the class has ended. There is one space left in this class as I write this. Class size is limited because I want everyone to have ample time to learn, try out new skills, and ask questions. If this one won’t work for you, let me know what your scheduling needs are, Cheryl, and I’ll see if I can’t accommodate you better on a later date. Regards, Susan
